Accelerate your path to Low-Carbon Fuels

Leverage 15 years of catalyst research and real-world data from our OX1 plant to reduce the cost and carbon intensity of your sustainable fuel projects.

Validated by Science, Proven by Operation

OXCCU OX1 Plant at Oxford Airport, United Kingdom

OXCCU have been developing iron-based Fischer-Tropsch technology for over 15 years, capable of turning waste carbon directly to jet fuel range hydrocarbons. Our catalyst was announced to the world in 2020 as a fundamental scientific breakthrough, and since then both the catalyst manufacture and the catalyst performance have been proven outside of the lab.

Our OX1 demonstration plant has been collecting valuable data since 2024. This data underpins our knowledge of how the catalyst works, and the process conditions required for effective fuel production. It is this catalyst we are taking to market.

Turning data into deliverables

OX1 data is now informing our customers on what is really possible for a waste carbon to fuels technology – a lower capex, lower complexity, more efficient pathway to SAF by turning waste carbon directly into jet fuel range hydrocarbons.

OXCCU Light Engineering Packages

Process Description

Detailed description of the flow of feedstocks and intermediates through the process. Each process item will be described with processing purpose.

Key Performance Metrics

CO2, Hydrogen and energy/utility consumption for the process as an absolute value and per tonne of fuel. This includes a product quality and production rate for the unit.

Process Flow Diagram (PFD)

A diagram showing what is described in the Process Description with the flow of feedstocks through to product streams.

Heat and Mass Balance

Associated with the PFD, this provides further detail of what each process stream contains and its physical properties at that point in the process.

Main equipment item list

List of equipment name and type with comments on the design requirements.

Capex estimate (scaled or vendor budget)

A choice of a quote from our vendor or a scaling from previous quotes for the capital cost of the flowsheet in mind.

Preliminary plot plan

A diagram to show the preliminary layout of the plant to inform space requirements on site.

Design Basis

Outline of what the plant is being designed to do and under what conditions.
